While this may seem forgivable especially when girls appear looking beautiful, not all guys are that forgiving especially if it's a first date. As one of the taboos on dating, arriving an hour or more than an hour late is not a good impression at all. Most guys can be impatient especially if they are made to wait for hours and hours. If you want to make your date a successful one, do away with too much hair styling. Learn to manage your time while preparing for the date.

2. Being the Drama Queen: You can whine sometimes, but not on a date and certainly not on a first date. Guys find drama queens irritating most of the time. If you don't like the food then there is no need to seek more attention by yelling at the waiter. Or if you don't like the spot for your reserved table, you can just tell your date that you don't like it and not demand for a transfer to the one table at the center of the restaurant that is reserved for another couple. And don't ever pretend that you are gonna cry if your demands are not met. It will only make you less desirable in your date's list. As one of the taboos on dating, being a drama queen is certainly a big no-no.

3. Being an Open Book: On the first date, less is more. Try to be a little mysterious rather than being an open book. There is no need to tell your date everything about you from your family down to all the relatives included in your family tree. Guys like to concentrate on getting to know you more on a first date. If you start telling stories about everyone in your family then it can alienate your date. As one of the taboos on dating that can make your date a disaster, refrain from being the open book type of date.

4. Refrain from Playing the Prim and Proper Type: Being prim and proper can mean boring and dull on a guy's dictionary. As an example of the taboos on dating, a prim and proper attitude can earn a negative score from your date. Try to let loose during a date. Smile, laugh, and just enjoy the date.
