Dating a Friend - Problems, Or Living Happily Ever After?

Dating friends - it can be so complicated. Love and romance - They can be thrilling and yet can cause so much unhappiness. One question people ask is - is it OK to be dating friends?

Are You Tired of Being Lonely? The whole point of dating is to find that special someone who will give us a proposal, a wedding and marriage, than being lonely. But we can be the main attraction for men who are looking for a sexual hook up, a fling. We may attract men who are looking for friends with benefits arrangements. We may attract someone who is not really into us, but pretends to be.

We may be able to find something better if we think about dating friends.

A Friend is a Quality Guy. When we choose a new car or a new house, or food to eat, we want quality. How much more important quality is when we are looking for a boyfriend / husband / lover / soul mate. But when are dating friends, we have chosen to date someone with whom we are familiar. We know that this guy will not hurt us.

What are the Benefits?

One benefit is that you are already relaxed with this man. When we are dating friends, we are dating someone with whom we already have a relationship. We will not feel a need to impress him or to pretend to be somebody that we are not.

So, What IS the Danger?

There may be no problem at all. But if we have a friend and try to be his girlfriend; if we speak words of love and romance AND HE DOES NOT FEEL THE SAME - we may lose a good friend. Things may become awkward. Our friendship may never go back to what it was.

Can You Live Happily Ever After?

I am not sure about the happily ever after part, but happily for a good, long time is possible. Make sure you chose your friend carefully. Then give it a shot. Just be careful when dating friends.
